Cirque Artist Break from Tour to Jam with Detroit Artists

DETROIT, MI, FEBRUARY 20, 2006: The Rhino @ Harmonie Park will host the "Cirque Detroit Jam" as Cirque du Soleil performing artist, Dessy Di Lauro joins Detroit soul artist Priscilla Price and friends for a one night jam session. The special appearance is this Thursday, February 23rd at 9:00pm. The purpose is for Dessy to connect with the soul and jazz music lovers of Detroit and promote her own commercially released album, 'A Study of a Woman's Soul'. Her album is a rich blend of soul, jazz and Latin music delivered in Dessy’s characteristically classy style.

Dessy Di Lauro, Montreal born Brazilian Italo-Cuban singer, songwriter is one of the lead singers in the critically acclaimed Cirque du Soleil 100+ city tour. “Delirium" is the first Cirque production created to play in 10,000 to 20,000 seat arenas for a few nights only. 44 artists from 20 countries around the world create this magical show - a combination of music, acrobatics, comedy, dance, drama and multimedia. The North American Tour will play in Detroit on Thursday, February 23rd and Friday, February 24th at Joe Louis Arena.

Dessy Di Lauro and her producer, composer and keyboardist, Ric’key Pageot, who is also musical conductor on Delirium will be featured on FOX2 News Thursday, February 23rd at the end of the 8:00am hour.
